PENERAPAN ABDOMINAL STRETCHING EXERCISE TERHADAP INTENSITAS DISMENORE PRIMER PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI DESA SUGIHAN KAB.SEMARANG
Abstract
Background: Dysmenorrhea is abdominal pain that comes from uterine cramps and occurs during menstruation. According to research conducted by Windastiwi et al (2017), the prevalence of dysmenorrhea is quite high in the world, where it is estimated that 50% of all women in the world suffer from dysmenorrhea in a menstrual cycle. Handling of dysmenorrhea can be done with non-pharmacological techniques, namely abdominal straching. Abdominal stretching is a stretching exercise in maintaining and developing flexibility or flexibility of the abdominal area to reduce the intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Purpose: This study aims to determine the application of abdominal stretching exercise to the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls in the village of Sugihan, Semarang Regency. Methods: This study uses a descriptive method with a case approach to adolescents who experience dysmenorrhea from August 5 to August 20, 2020. This study was conducted on 4 respondents, namely young women who experienced dysmenorrhea. The instrument used is an observation sheet and uses an assessment by means of interviews measuring pain levels with a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: The level of menstrual pain before the Abdominal Stretching Exercise (Pre test) was carried out was 8 and the level of menstrual pain after the Abdominal Stretching Exercise (Post test) decreased on a scale between 5 - 7. Conclusion: This study proved that Abdominal Stretching Exercise can reduce the level of menstrual pain.References
