PENERAPAN PENGGUNAAN MINYAK ZAITUN UNTUK MENGATASI PRURITUS PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK
Abstract
Latar Belakang: Pruritus merupakan komplikasi yang sering dialami pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis akibat akumulasi toksin uremik, kulit kering, dan proses Tujuan: Menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan minyak zaitun terhadap penurunan pruritus pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis di Ruang Hemodialisa Metode: Studi kasus ini melibatkan 4 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Tingkat pruritus diukur menggunakan instrumen 5-D Itch Scale (5D-IS) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Minyak zaitun dioleskan pada area yang mengalami pruritus selama 15 menit, tiga kali sehari selama dua hari. Hasil: Sebelum intervensi, 2 responden mengalami pruritus berat dan 2 responden mengalami pruritus sedang. Setelah intervensi, 2 responden mengalami penurunan menjadi pruritus sedang dan 2 responden menjadi pruritus ringan. Kesimpulan: Penggunaan minyak zaitun efektif menurunkan tingkat pruritus pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai terapi nonfarmakologis pendamping dalam praktik keperawatan.
