Hubungan Lama Duduk Dan Posisi Duduk Dengan Keluhan Nyeri Punggung Bawah Pada Lansia Kelurahan Slamanmloyo, Kecamatan Semarang Barat, Kota Semarang
Abstract
ABSTRAKProses penuaan memicu perubahan degeneratif pada sistem muskuloskeletal, terutama pada kolumna vertebra yang sering menyebabkan perubahan postur seperti kifosis (bungkuk). Perubahan ini meningkatkan risiko gangguan keseimbangan dan cedera jatuh pada lansia. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan lansia mengenai kesehatan tulang belakang melalui edukasi, pemeriksaan, dan pengukuran postur vertebra. Mitra kegiatan adalah kelompok lansia di Kelurahan Salamanmloyo, Kecamatan Semarang Barat, Kota Semarang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, pemeriksaan fisik (inspeksi postur), dan pengukuran objektif menggunakan instrumen plumb line atau penggaris kelengkungan tulang belakang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman lansia mengenai postur tubuh yang ergonomis serta teridentifikasinya beberapa lansia yang mengalami kecenderungan hiperkifosis untuk dirujuk ke program latihan korektif. Edukasi ini diharapkan dapat mendorong kemandirian lansia dalam menjaga kesehatan postur di kehidupan sehari-hari.

ABSTRACT
The aging process triggers degenerative changes in the musculoskeletal system, particularly in the vertebral column, often leading to postural changes such as kyphosis (stooping). These changes increase the risk of balance disorders and fall-related injuries among the elderly. This community service activity aimed to raise awareness and improve knowledge regarding spinal health among the elderly through education, physical examinations, and vertebral posture measurements. The activity partnered with a group of elderly residents in Salamanmloyo Village, West Semarang District, Semarang City. Implementation methods included interactive health education, physical examinations (postural inspection), and objective measurements using a plumb line or a spinal curvature ruler. The results demonstrated an improvement in the elderly participants' understanding of ergonomic posture and identified individuals showing tendencies toward hyperkyphosis for referral to corrective exercise programs. This educational initiative is expected to foster independence among the elderly in maintaining good posture in their daily lives.
