Tingkat Kecerdasan Emosional Mahasiswa Ilmu Keperawatan: Dilihat dari Masa Studi dan Pengalaman Praktikum di Rumah Sakit
Abstract
Kecerdasan Emosional merupakan kemampuan untuk merasakan emosi, mengendalikan perasaan dan pikiran, serta mengatur emosi yang dipengaruhi oleh usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan dan pengalaman praktik seseorang. Penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross-sectional) ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan usia, jenis kelamin, masa studi dan pengalaman praktikum di rumah sakit dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa ilmu keperawatan. Sampel sebesar 198 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menyatakan terdapat hubungan bermakna antara masa studi dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional ρ = 0,021 (< α = 0,05) dan pengalaman praktikum di rumah sakit dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa ρ = 0,046 (< α = 0,05). Sedangkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara usia dan jenis kelamin dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan membantu Institusi Pendidikan Keperawatan mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa nya.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE LEVEL OF NURSING SCIENCE STUDENTS: SEEN FROM THE STUDY AND EXPERIENCE OF PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITALS
ABSTRACT
Emotional intelligent is an ability to fell emotion, controlling mind and feeling, and also arrange emotion influenced by age, gender, educations level and experience of clinical practice. This descriptive-correlative research with cross-sectional approach, aim to identify the correlation between age, gender, study period, practice experiences in hospital and level of emotional intelligent in nursing students. This research using 198 participants (stratified random sampling). The result showed there were a significant relationship between study period and level of emotional intelligent ρ = 0,021 (< α = 0,05) and also practice experiences in hospital and level of emotional intelligent ρ = 0,046 (< α = 0,05). Meanwhile, there were no significant relations between ages, gender, with level of emotional intelligent. This research expected to assist Nursing College know level of emotional intelligent among students
