PENGARUH EKSTRAK REBUSAN KUNYIT TERHADAP KEJADIAN KEPUTIHAN PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR DI DESA KARANGSARI DUKUH TRAMBALAN KECAMATAN SULANG KABUPATEN REMBANG

Abstract

Background: Leucorrhoea or flour albus is an excessive secretion of white liquid. Leucorrhoae can be physiological or pathopysiological. Curcumin, the yellow pigment in turmeric tuber is proven to have various important pharmakological activities, namely antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, antiparasitic, and has the potential as an anticancer. The population was 78 women of childbearing age and the sample were 30 respondents. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of turmeric stew extract on the incidence of vaginal discharge in woman ofchildbearing age in Karangsari village, Sulang District, Rembang Regency.
Methode: The desaign of this study used quasy experimental pre and post test without control. With purposive sampling technique, obtained a sample 30 respondents, leuccorrhoea measured by the ratting scale formula, analyzed using Wilxocon statistical test. Results: The results of the study that experienced the most leucorrhoae before administraration of tumeric decoction extract were pathological leucorrhoea (80,0%), while the most leucorrhoea after administration of turmeric stew extract was normal vaginal discharge (100%), with the results of statistical tests p value 0,000 ≤ 0,05 and the z value is -4,899. Conclusion: There is an effect of turmeric decoction extract on the incidience of vaginal discharge in woman of childbearing age in Karangsari Village, Trambalan Hamlet, Sulang Districts, Rembang Regency
