Penerapan Pendidikan Kesehatan dan Relaksasi Otot Progresif untuk Menurunkan Kecemasan pada Pasien Hipertensi di Desa Mranggen
Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure of more than 90 mmHg. The condition of a person who has hypertension can cause a feeling of heart palpitations, headache, difficulty sleeping, and feel tremors. These complaints are included in the signs and symptoms of anxiety. This anxiety can be overcome using health education and progressive muscle relaxation because it can affect the hypothalamus which reduces the work of the sympathetic nervous system through increasing the work of the parasympathetic nerves, so that it can reduce the level of anxiety in hypertensive patients. Purpose: To determine the application of health education and progressive muscle relaxation to the anxiety level of hypertension patients in Mranggen Village, Mranggen District, Demak Regency. Metode: The study used a descriptive method with a case approach in hypertensive patients aged 40-50 years who experienced anxiety from August 3rd to September 3rd 2020. The instrument used is a questionnaire sheet and uses the HARS scale (Hamilton Anxiety rating scale). Results: It is known that there are changes in blood sugar levels before and after being given the application of health education and progressive muscle relaxation. Suggestion: It is expected that patients can implement health education and progressive muscle relaxation to reduce anxiety.References
